            Meet the Gallery Girls:
I'm so fortunate to be able to say, I love what I do! I've been in the business since 1984, WOW! I began my career at Hair By Stewarts and worked there for almost 10 years. In 1994, I was given the opportunity to purchase The Gallery business.  Now, in 2010, my dream has finally come build a beautiful salon, like what you see in magazines, a salon that would cater to all and offer things in Council Bluffs that other salons do not offer.  I am so blessed to be given the chance to do this!  Though it's challanging to run a business, have employees, and work as a full time stylist, I can't think of anything else I'd rather do. My goal everyday is for every one of my clients to love their look and bring a smile to their face! I'm not partial to one thing, I love it all!! I hope you give me the opportunity to take care of you!  Thank you to all who have supported me on my journey.
I worked in an office environment for twelve years before I decided to change professions. I've always wanted to be in the hair industry, therefore, I made BIG career change and enrolled in cosmetology school. Which I never regretted... The most rewarding part of my job is giving the client a TOTAL makeover. From cut to color, their smile says it all! I graduated from EQ in 1999, and worked at Hair By Stewarts until 2004, when I came to The Gallery.
Amie grew up in Glenwood and graduated from high school in 2000. While a senior in high school, she discovered her passion and made the decision to attend EQ School of hairstyling. After graduating from EQ in 2001, she started her career at Hair by Stewarts and worked there until 2004, when she began working at The Gallery. Along with all of her styling talents, Amie especially has a flair with long hair and putting a nice final touch to it. She does beautiful highlighting/color techniques. Give Amie a call for satisfaction guaranteed!
I'm originally from Hutchinson, KS, but I've been in the area now for about five years. I graduated from EQ School of Hair Design in 2007. I worked at Hair Masters before I was offered a job at The Gallery Salon! I love it here!! My favorites are hair coloring and cutting. I definitely love what I do, and I'm passionate about doing hair!
Licensed Esthetician/Stylist
I have been a licensed Cosmetologist and Esthetician
since 2004, when I graduated from Xnon School of Hair Design.  I formerly am from Beauty Brands West.  I love the excitement of doing hair on the floor but yet, the relaxing, quiet side of the spa and giving facials.  I offer everything from complete hair design, skin care, nail services, including Gelish' Nails, and hair extensions.  I have been at The Gallery Salon since July of 2010.
I have a 7 year old son, Hayden, who is a 1st grader at Lewis Central.

Laura Black
Massage Therapist
I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 1991.  I have been an instructor of massage over the years, including being the first infant massage instructor at Midlands hospital and Mercy and St. Luke's hospitals in Sioux City.  I also taught infant massage to new moms for the Winnebago tribe.
Other endeavors include serving on the State Board
of Massage Therapy Examiners in Iowa, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art from The University of
The South in 1984, working as a LMT and staff trainer at The Spa at Pebble Beach in the Central Coast/Monterey area of California, and most recently receiving certification as a Chiropractic Assistant while working with Denise Woods, DC. My intentions are to continue my education in CranioSacral Therapy and Reiki attunements.  The Gallery Salon was the first location in Council Bluffs I worked and I'm thrilled to be coming "home"!
Sharon is the glue that holds the salon together! With her passion for people and awesome work ethics, Sharon does the very best in taking care of all our clients. They always say that your receptionist is the first impression a client has of a business, and she is THE receptionist of ALL receptionists! Promise....she will take good care of you!  If nothing else, you should come in just to see her fabulous smile!
